Mi Barrio - Don Peppin Blend from 601 (5x50 Torpedo

I walked into the cigar store in Chesterfield and she was unpacking boxes that just came it. Low and behold look what I found.

Mi Barrio is a limited edition, seasonal release, made by Pepin Garcia for the guys that brought you the 601 brands. Mi Barrio (my neighborhood) is a full bodied cigar thanks to it's filler and binder blend of all Nicaraguan tobaccos from 3 differnet regions. I at first thought this was the same as the La Gloria guy but after reading, found out it was Pepin.

Man what a smoke. This is a refined blow to the senses that keeps on giving. A little tight draw but what an ash. I almost had to get a hammer to knock it off. The flavor is still lingering after 2 hours. Lots of nuts and pepper but not strong, just smooth. Very full flavored.

9.9/10 (the only reason is the tight draw - as close to a 10 as you can get)

FYI at Tobaccos in Chesterfield she has 7 boxes of Cain "f" for 49.99, New unopened boxes of the New Rocky Patel Brothers, New unopened boxes of the newly designed Rocky Patel Nordings, Brick House and lots of other goodies.

  1. Thanks for the recommendation. I'll have to give the Mi Barrio a try. I've never been to Tobaccos in Chesterfield either, so I'll need to check it out as well. It sounds like they have a nice selection. Where are they located?

(Reminder-Rocky Patel will be at JRs this Wednesday from 11-3.)

  2. They are in the Velley right next door to Kaldi's Coffee and the UPS store facing the Mobile gas station. Very nice selection but a little pricy. The woman that runs it is very knowledgeable about the industry.
