ReplyDeleteJoe, how do we hyperlink our cigar name under the "Cigar Reviews" column in the left column of the blog to our actual review write up in the body of the blog--as you did with Matt's latest review? I think each of us should be able to do this with our own reviews.

One more thing: do you think we should put the rating next to the cigar under the Cigar Reviews column? Just a thought.

ReplyDeleteAdding a hyperlink to the cigar name under 'Cigar Reviews':
-Click on the post's title that you would like to create a link to. This brings up that post only and any comments for that post.
-Copy the URL (web address).
-Log in as Adam.
-Click on 'Layout'.
-Click on 'Edit" under 'Cigar Reviews'.
-Type in cigar name and score in the text field next to 'Add List Item'.
-Click on the icon that looks like the Earth with two chain links (just to the right of the 'Add List Item' text field). (When your mouse hovers over this icon it should say 'Create link'.)
-A little pop up window should appear labeled 'Explorer User Prompt'. Paste your copied URL (web address) from your intended posting in the field of this little pop up window. ('http://' will appear automatically in this field when the window is displayed...just paste your URL directly over this as your URL should already contain this.)
-Click OK in the 'Explorer User Prompt' window.
-Click 'Add Item' (next to 'Add List Item' text field).
-Click Save.
Let me know if you have any more questions on the hyperlink. I put the Cain F NUB's rating next to it. Great idea Adam-makes it easy to reference.
I see the rating criteria is listed above the pictures too. Cool and easy to reference. Nice touch.

Next time we get together, we'll go through the hyperlink process. It sounds way more complicated than it is.
