Your Favorite Cigar Smoking Location

Of all the places you have smoked cigars, what place stands out as your favorite--and why?

Do you remember what you smoked, the occasion (if any), the time of day, the time of year, what you ate beforehand/drank with (if applicable), and who you were with (if anyone)?

Will you/can you duplicate this experience--and if so, when do you plan to?

  2. I agree with Jeff, right now his place is my favorite place to enjoy. Relaxing, good people, no dumbasses around. Just excellent.

I do have two most memorable places about cigars.
    1. July 4th at the Biltmore Estate (Vaderbuilt family Estate) on a hill overlooking the Smokey moutains watching the fireworks with Robin celebrating our 2nd anniversary.

    2. The one time I regret NOT smoking - my wedding reception. Of all the times that Robin and I should have had time to relax TOGETHER we did not have the opportunity b/c of all the hand pressing, pictures etc. Great time but man, that would have been an excellent time for a VSG.
***Let that be a lesson to you Joe - while you should be considerate of others at your wedding, it is YOUR wedding and you should do whatever you want, whenever you want. As a matter of fact, if you need me to be the heavy and kick some ass just so you guys can have what you want, just let me know. It is your day.

  4. It's Jeffro's place, for sure--and for the same reasons, Matt. It is closest thing our gang has to an official "clubhouse", and it lacks nothing (as far as I am concerned).

I can't believe you didn't smoke at your wedding reception, Matt. What a shame. I smoked a few stogies at mine, however, this was before I started taking cigars as seriously as I do now (and I was still smoking cigarrettes then). And your advice to Joe on the subject is dead-on.

    Honorable Mentions:
    1) on my acreage next to Dad's on the family tract--there's just something about cutting trees down, burning brush, and smoking cigars in the fall
    2) on my lawn, at night in the moonlight in the summer
    3) I smoked a CAO Maduro on the Southern Rim (literally) of the Grand Canyon in December a couple years ago (on my way back from California with my buddy). There was snow on the ground where I was standing, the clouds of smoke from the cigar remained almost motionless in the air for minutes at a time, and the view was unreal. This smoking experience, like the above mentioned, will be duplicated at some point in time for sure.

  5. 1) Smoked an Edge Maduro with my step-dad this spring around a campfire at Montauk State Park. We grilled the trout we caught that day on the campfire grill along with garlic bread and asparagus, Todd Welllemeyer pitched well enough to lose 1-10 and the weather was perfect.
    2) Early in the morning on the weekends with a cup of coffee. The neighborhood is still quiet and everything is peaceful. Very relaxing and a great way to start the day.(The neighbor's dogs are usually not out yipping their asses off yet either.)
    3) Every time at Jeff's. Thanks again Jeff. Your castle is awesome.

I will definitely have a cigar to give out at my wedding and enjoy at least myself. We have a balcony off of the room we are getting married in that we can smoke on. I'm still looking at my options...Pirate's Gold, Bucanero, Backwoods or some of those fabulous Victor Sinclair Yankee Connecticuts. Matt, lets kick some ass regardless if they deserve it or not.
