Perdomo Lot 23 Maduro Toro & the September OCCS Night

Another great OCCS meeting. Jess and the cubans were awesome as usual, Matt Holliday hit a walk-off home run to help bury the Cubs even further and we had some super fellow patrons.

Perdomo Lot 23 Maduro Toro - This was the cigar of the night. It had a dark, thick maduro wrapper which had some veins and a bit of a rough texture. Slightly oily as well. The band was bigger than usual, but the design was cool. Overall, a good looking cigar. After the cigar was cut, the pre-light draw was great and had tootsie-roll and earthy hints that led to believe that this would be a rich cigar. After lighting, the cocoa, coffee and earthy flavors were there in full force. It was very rich and medium bodied. The cigar held its rich flavor down to the nub. The light gray ash was solid and held very well. Very rich and thick smoke with every draw with an even burn the whole way. If you're in the mood for a well-made rich cigar, this is it. At less than $3 a stick on cigarbid, this was a great value.
9/10

Thanks again for coming out. Looking forward to next month's meeting.

  1. A tremendous OCCS Meeting, indeed. The Lot 23 was a superb choice, Joe, and thanks for introducing it to me. It was great to see everyone again, and I look forward to the next meeting (John's meeting, right?).
