Okay, how did it look? I think the structure is good but I got to tell you guys, I felt kind of weird rating the Band. I would like to get rid of that and either replace it or put the points in something else.
What do you think of the weighting of the overall personal experience?

ReplyDeleteWe could throw the band critique in with the Overall Appearance category. Which category(s) would you like the free 10 points to go towards? Anyone ever think of that 10th category?
Giving the Personal Experience category more weight seems appropriate to me. After all, that's what it is all about.
I very much like the idea of setting up our reviews this way. Nice work, Matt.
ReplyDeleteDescribing the band in the Appearance category is fine with me, and throwing the extra 10 points into the Personal Experience category is also OK with me.
I cannot remember what the 10th category was--and as Matt indicated, if we can't remember it, it may not have been that crucial.
On a side note, what are your thoughts on listing each cigar we review instead of just the 100's? The 100's could be written in BOLD to stand out from the rest in the list.
It just seems to me that many good cigars may be overlooked/ forgotten by not having a quick access to past reviews. It would be easy enough to do. Just a thought.

Adam, you are a freaking genius! Why didn't we think of listing ALL of them before??? I LOVE that idea.

No band category is cool with me and so is describing the band in the Overall Appearance category. So, Overall Experience category will be worth 30 points and the other 7 categories worth 10 points apiece?—I'm down with that too.

Also, listing all of the reviewed cigar would be nice. I like that idea. Also, feel free to delete any of my pictures.

ReplyDeleteAs far as listing ALL of the reviews, will we be able to say point to the Ashton VSG on our list and then click on it and it will take us to our review. That would be WAY cool. Also, maybe we can start putting pictures of said cigars on the review.

ReplyDeleteAlso, good idea about pictures of reviewed cigars. Face with the name, so to speak. I couldn't find that great of a picture of the Cain F NUB on the web, so I just chose one--let me know if you have a better picture. In other words, even if you don't have your own picture of the cigar, the web will most likely have one.
